LAUNCH OF THE CITY OF ARABIA AT ATM 2005...

The Ilyas and Mustafa Galadari Group is proud to announce the launch of the key downtown area of Dubailand, the City of Arabia,at the Arabian Travel Market 2005.
The City of Arabia will be a new suburb of Dubai with around 40,000 inhabitants. It will include the largest mall development in the Middle East, the Mall of Arabia; a major theme-park, the Restless Planet, built around the rise and fall of the dinosaurs; and other urban facilities like hotels, schools and clinics.
Residents will be able to purchase either low-rise apartments - Wadi Residences, built next to a moving stream, in an area called the Wadi Walk; or high-rise accommodation in 34 tower-blocks, some of which will be for mixed commercial and residential use. Four higher towers, at more than 60-storeys, will be exclusively for commercial use.

The City of Arabia, which lies on the south side of the Emirates Road, will be linked to the other main centres of Dubai and the Airports, including the proposed new Airport at Jebel Ali, by the Dubai Light Railway. Once at the City of Arabia, visitors and residents will be able to transfer to the internal monorail system, which will link up the Mall of Arabia, the the Restless Planet, the Wadi Walk and the high-rise towers.
The project will be ready for residential occupation by the end of 2007. The Mall and the theme-park will open together in the spring of 2008.
